What may be some of its downfalls? And how can it be applied, and used so it can be helpful in our daily lives?

In the books of kabbalah there is
a constant mention of two certain themes which have many different names and manifestations. One such manifestation is called “Beauty” and it’s counterpart the “divine presence in exile” (otherwise known as sephirot “Tiferet”, and sephirot “Malchut”, the “Shechina”). “Tiferet” represents the ideal, which is also comparable to the sun which shines its powerful ideal light, while the moon, (representing the divine presence in exile), is constantly in process ranging from no reflection of the idealistic light of the sun, to a full moon and full reflection of the ideal in its own way. The part of oneself that is advancing and growing is the moonlike part, an attempt to be a reflection of the true ideal.

Is one expected to be living a completely idealistic life? Eating, exercising, acting, and interacting with others all in a uniform perfect ideal fashion? I’ll tell you that no one in their right mind can expect that! Rather are the goals and actions of an individual to be in the direction of one’s highest ideals? This I know is an unmistakable truth. A person may find themselves taking some medication for some disease that they don’t know anything about, or don’t have a clue how they got it. Trusting in the medications given to them to fix it all up and let them continue enjoying life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Why not stop and think, what is it that may be causing this? How can I be feeling more free and alive, not chained down to these lifelong medications?

Don’t look for enlightenment in places devoid of the light. Begin with the end in mind. Know your ideals; live in the pursuit of them realizing it is a journey of process. And when one knows where they stand, and where they are heading, then every single step along that path is holy. Man isn’t an angel, but through our finite struggles we can reach even higher.

Enjoy your journey!<span style="font-family: 'Baskerville Old Face', serif; It makes me happy mentioning it in a conversation and hearing it in someone else’s quickly draws my attention. I am so enraptured with the word that sometimes
while giving over to someone an idea on the subject, they stop me and ask, (usually halfway through my street-side passionate lecture), ‘by the way, what does consciousness mean?’’.

Their loss, (for this article at least).

I want to address the people who are in tune with this idea, and hopefully at a later date get back to the rest of the general public.

So once again, what is better than consciousness?

The answer is, applied consciousness.

Consciousness on its own is crippled and limited without its manifestation into reality. Don’t get stopped there, bring these amazing ideas into the world of action. As it says in the Talmud many times, “the world wasn’t created for chaos, but to be inhabited’.

So many people in their own way are conscious and enlightened in many areas of their lives, they have the knowledge of a higher purpose, in the macro, but never manage to bring it down into the smaller aspects of reality, their own microcosm. They can be big believers in world peace, and protesting all wars, but don’t ask them about their relationships with their parents, siblings, or whoever it may be, just don’t go there.

This is our job, to take these wonderful ideas and bring them into their true manifestation in our own lives in whatever it may be, to really, myself, be a better individual and work on my own ‘world’s peace’, to smile at people, not to lose my patience in the long line at the supermarket. I am referring to applied consciousness,

Applied by me,

In my own environment!

Join me on this journey of mine, and if you want, let me help you with yours. Helping you to apply and integrate those powerful ideas of being fresh, energetic, and alive so you can bring an aura of consciousness to all those around you, and in time to the whole world.

Many wishes for you to light up the darkest places in your life.

Happy winter

Mordechai Fleising

Picture from www.soulresearchinstitute.org

The path to feeling fresh, energetic, and alive

For my second blog post, I want to clarify a few things. Wondering about who I am able to work with brought me to the conclusion that if “I” came to “myself” and told “myself” what “I” do, “I” “myself” wouldn’t have a clue what that means to “me”!

Let me expound a bit, I went to a chiropractor and one thing he recommended or rather instructed was to eat greens. I thought he was kidding, you mean buy this plant, wash it, and eat it? Coming from home and school, life at that point didn’t involve too much process. So when living and cooking on my own I applied the same method which was serving me until then to my current situation. Anyways he looked at me like I was crazy,(for opposing the greens), and I was shocked as well by his outrageous demands. End of the story he didn’t succeed in getting me to eat the greens.

Growing up I had terrible allergies almost year round, usually I would end up going to my family doctor for renewed yearly counsel on the issue of my allergies, and maybe he found some newer drug which could solve my pain. At the end of the checkup I remember him telling me that it is advisable to cut down on dairy, junk food, white flour, white sugar, etc. what happened then appeared to me that there was a feeling of awkwardness and silence in the room, as I attempted to avoid eye contact with the doctor, through feelings of shame and guilt. Then maybe when I went home I didn’t eat pizza that day, to deal with the guilt that he freshly bestowed upon me, and once again another year of continuous suffering from allergies.

So here is what I do, I help people to feel fresh, energetic, and alive, by filling in the process that they need to actually make change. Understanding where they may be now in the present, and fill in enough pieces of the process for them, and with them, so they don’t have to hear the words, whole grains, greens, quinoa, legumes, kale, agave nectar, no dairy, no processed foods, as if it has been said to them in a foreign language which basically means absolutely nothing to them.

There is a saying from the rabbis,” it is easier for one to complete the entire Talmud (36 tractates of dense material), than it is to change on trait.”

On this a great sage said, “That is the case only when one doesn’t have proper guidance”, if they have the right guidance the journey is much smoother and not nearly as difficult.

By mentioning my position to people as someone who works in health, people immediately respond in some strange word association game,

For example: “Oh ya quinoa”, “sure omega 3”, or this one, “everything in moderation right”, “cut out the whites”,

you name it I have heard it.

Now listen I am not a card carrying health food club member,(yet), so the mention of these phrases doesn’t always send me into fits of excitement(I admit sometimes it does) . I personally find that these foods and phrases work for me, and also appear to be working for others who are using them. In regards to knowledge most people out there have a pretty good idea of what is healthy, but not many of those knowledgeable people are doing it, and I don’t blame them! At their pace it will take them a life time to make change. Or someone can really do these things they talk about by committing themselves to a coach and a program. It really isn’t so complicated, and believe me, I have been exactly in that place of meaningless words and symbols which are supposed to make me healthier.

So contact me to set up a free initial consultation, and you can get on your way to connecting your real with your ideal,

So you can feel fresh energetic and alive.

My warmest wishes to you all

The East, the West, and Me in the middle.

I am thrilled to be writing these thoughts that I have been processing over the past few years. I’m going to classify two schools of thinking as the east and west. The east is more spiritual and connected to the oneness of our reality. While the west leans more towards the side of the cold facts and endless fragmentation of individual pieces of information. Also known as the right left brains.

In my own young experience I have been tossed from side to side, over and over every time coming to the realization that this is the one true reality, whatever side of the coin it may be. I then went out with flaming passion towards whatever camp it is who’s so called banner I am waving. I was overjoyed to finally be at home with those who are on the same page as me.

The problem is at every stop on the journey my mention of experience with the other side is either met by a ignorance of its existence entirely, or a negative attitude towards it! The sides were either consciously or unconsciously using each other for a background to themselves, who of course represent all meaning and truth, which is the foreground purpose of the one true reality.

What a frustrating reality of separate worlds, so close to each other, even living in complete peace at times, but yet the communication between them is nonexistent, or in more serious cases tragic.

There is but one more alternative to these opposites, and that is the middle path, which is the integration of more than the either or of reality. Am I a body with a mind? Or do I have a soul? The answer is yes. Does my environment affect me? is it my upbringing, or my genetics? How about my past lives, reincarnations? Yes!

We as human beings have been given this great tapestry-like gift of life which surely encompasses more than just one side of the story. I want to empower you to own your power through your whole self, with your whole story, not just the fragments that are labeled as you, much much more than that, the true whole, including the process. Many good wishes to all of you.

Mordechai

Mordechai is a student of Kabbalistic and Chassidic thought working in holistic health counseling to establish change in people while integrating the separate aspects of their reality into a dynamic unified whole.
